Penthouse with 70s Vibes

Interior by Jorge Brown Cott

Gropius chairs take centre stage in the dining room of this art-filled home, designed by Jorge Brown Cott and styled by Alban Roger.
This unique project with a retreat-like atmosphere spans the 33rd and 34th floors of one of Santo Domingo’s skyscrapers and brings together a bold mix of modern art, local craftmanship and graphic, geometric forms with a 70s vibe.
"The Gropius Chair is the key piece the project was missing: an iconic and sophisticated chair that perfectly harmonizes with its surroundings, adding a special touch to the space. This piece blends so subtly and elegantly that it enhances any environment in which it is placed." - said the designer Jorge Brown Cott

LOUVRE

Interior by Atelier Daaa

In the heart of Paris, just steps from the Centre Pompidou, this apartment unfolds across three levels, embracing a striking vertical design. A bold Klein blue serves as a unifying element, extending along the staircase column and seamlessly connecting the vibrant atmospheres of each floor.

This deep blue hue is echoed in the living room, particularly through the Gropius Low Chair with Round Ottoman in blue upholstery, reinforcing the apartment’s artistic character. The kitchen stands out with Patagonia granite, chosen for its expressive patterns, harmonizing with the softness of bleached ash and accented by subtle black details.

A set of white Gropius Chairs in the dining area adds a sculptural elegance, balancing the interplay of colours and textures throughout the space.

CaraWoodInteriors

Interior by Cara Woodhouse

Designer Cara Woodhouse's complete renovation of her modernist ranch in Long Island allowed her to embrace bold and playful design choices. Circles, arcs, and orbs are a defining theme throughout the space, appearing in everything from mirrors to throw pillows. She calls these elements "eye candy," creating unexpected yet soothing moments in every room.

This philosophy is most evident in the living room, where a group of Gropius chairs takes centre stage.

Upholstered in soft pink, their geometrical form and sculptural silhouette complement the room's artistic energy. In this space, curves are not just a visual motif; they create an atmosphere of comfort, creativity, and effortless sophistication.

Casa Study 'Period Pieces' for ARK Journal VOL VII

Styled by Pernille Vest

Throwback to our exciting collaboration with the interior stylist Pernille Vest and the Copenhagen-based biannual magazine Ark Journal.

The case study 'Period Pieces' shows how Scandinavian design, with its timelessness, can assimilate easily with other styles and epochs while retaining its distinctive purity and aura of calm assurance.
In the graceful surroundings of the house built in 1918 and created by Danish sculptor Rikard Axel Poulsen, Pernille combined refined design pieces from different places and times, resulting in a harmonious blend of history and modernity.

Our stainless steel Brandt coffee table, Gropius Chair, and Gropius Low Chair all found their place in this stunning interior, adding to its unique charm.
